A little bit about us
Hello, my name is Deshara. My own experiences and time in therapy as both a client and therapist in mental health has given me immeasurable compassion, warmth and empathy to those who choose to come and sit with me in comfort and safety.
Listening is a skill, it involves paying complete focus on the individuals, listening with feeling and empathy. These skills and attributes add up to a very rewarding experience for the client and myself. After completing a Person-Centred Counselling degree, I have practiced in the NHS as a therapist using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for adults suffering with anxiety and depression.
My name is Naomi. I have over 25 years of experience as a Registered General Nurse specialising in Mental Health. I am certified in counselling by the National Counselling Society. Additionally, I have over 5 years of experience working for the Department for Work and Pensions.
Whatever your difficulty may be, I am certain that working together we can formulate a plan and start moving towards a better, brighter and more positive future. Counselling can help when we feel lost, stuck and overwhelmed and can’t find a way to make sense of those difficult feelings on our own.
Speaking to someone can help you to see a problem from a different perspective, without judgement or bias. I work full-time at our Wickford Practice.
