The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can be very stressful and upsetting fo many people across the globe. This can strike fear, worry and become very overwhelming for people due to the uncertainty of the outbreak.
An infectious outbreak can trigger:
Stress about your own health or family and loved ones around you
Worry of finances
Changes in sleeping and eating
Difficulty focusing and concentrating
Substance misuse increase

In order to support yourself:
Take regular breaks from watching TV, listening to the radio, reading artiles, social media that are discussing COVID-19, this can heighten anxiety due to uncertainty and worry.
Look after your body, do home exercises, take deep breaths, meditate, eat healthily and ensure you get plenty of sleep.
Talk and connect with others, if in self-isolation, make time to Skype, call or speak with others to reduce the feeling of loneliness
Speak up on how you are feeling, share with family and friends and listen to others. You may find you are not the only one feeling this way and may find comfort from others offer support.
